Gasum to take Gazprom export to arbitration over roubles payments dispute

In a press release dated 17 May 2022, Finland's state-owned energy provider Gasum announced that it will not accede to Russian Gazprom Export's demand that it pay for its gas supplies in roubles. It also refused Gazprom’s proposed payment arrangement – preferring instead to take the dispute to arbitration in accordance with the long-term gas supply contract.
