Dominican Republic threatens arbitration against AstraZeneca citing failure to deliver Covid-19 vaccines as agreed

On 22 March 2022, the Dominican Republic’s President, Mr Luis Abinader, warned that the country may initiate arbitration against British pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca if the company fails to comply with the contractually agreed deadlines the parties set for the delivery of COVID-19 vaccines.
