Dispute Settlement in UK-NZ Free Trade Agreement restricted to State Parties following NZ’s strong opposition to ISDS

On 28 February 2022, the governments of the United Kingdom and New Zealand signed a comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in London.

The signing of the FTA means the publication of the details of the effective, efficient, and transparent dispute settlement mechanism alluded to in the Agreement in Principle.
