Montreal Court declares unenforceable Devas’ Third-Party Garnishment following entry into force of Québec's IATA Law

On 6 September 2022, the Commercial Division of the Superior Court of the District of Montreal declared unenforceable the garnishment against the Airport Authority of India (AAI) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which Justice Lukasz Granosik had authorised on 24 November 2021 in CC/Devas (Mauritius) Ltd.  v. Republic of India, Case 2022 QCCS 3272.
