Could a fossil fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty limit opposition to growing calls on states to phase-out fossil fuels?

On 14 September 2022, the World Health Organization’s director-general joined hundreds of health professionals, scientists, academics and organisations from around the world in calling for a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty to prevent the global dependence on fossil fuels from damaging people’s health.
