US District Court exercises inherent jurisdiction to stay Devas Applicants’ enforcement proceedings without ordering India to post security

On 24 March 2022, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia (the Court) in CC/Devas (Mauritius) Ltd., et al v Republic of India exercised its inherent jurisdiction to grant India’s motion to temporarily stay the enforcement proceedings before it.
