Montero’s ICSID arbitration proceedings claiming Tanzania expropriated its Wigu Hill project underway

Montero Mining and Exploration Ltd. has announced that its arbitration proceedings against the Republic of Tanzania regarding the expropriation of the Wigu Hill rare earth element Project in Tanzania are now underway. The dispute arises out of certain conduct by the Republic of Tanzania in connection with Montero's investment in the mining project that allegedly violates the Canada-Tanzania BIT and international law.
